I just taped an LED light with a green gel inside of a hollowed book to add a glow on her face and help sell the magic effect added in post. Would love to know your thoughts.
Everything was done with the free version of resolve with free assets used from Footage Crate.
level 21 point · 1 hour agoLove it, Nothing infuriates me more than a high budget movie where the character will have green or white projected on their face but they’ve composited something red, or blue, or some other color on the “screen” they’re looking it; when it could be solved with just a little bit of extra attention to detail like you’ve dons with this ..

QuestionClose1Posted by2 hours agoMy first directing shoot with a Red, questions about compression and witch harddrive to buy.

QuestionHi, I'm directing a web serie's pilot (self-funded). And we are shooting on a DSMC2 DRAGON-X and in a cost saving perspective I have a few questions for storage. Note that I'll also be the editor on the project.
It's a 4 day shoot and i'ts aimed at the web probably a 4k delivery (possibly 1080p).
1.Witch model of external hardrive should I buy to EDIT from it (i'll be using proxy obviously), and witch one to buy for backup, is 4tb gonna be enough or i need like 5tb ? External because my SATA ports in my pc are already full of harddrives that are also almost full. do I need an ssd, or with proxy, hdd are gonna be fine?
2.Considering my delivery, is 8:1 compression at 6k24p “overkill”, would it be more sensible to shoot at 4k in ..

1People Please Help – Am I being Conned here?

QuestionClose1Posted by2 hours agoPeople Please Help – Am I being Conned here?

QuestionOkay, I need some serious answers to this question here because now this is making me scared and confused. This is kind of long, so please bear with me.
Okay, so I'm a fairly young female filmmaker, about a year or so ago, I went on Linkedin and found the supposed Linkedin profile of MacKenzie Bezos and I messaged her about my film project. She responded back several days later and asked for my Investment proposal for the film, I sent it over, and then days later she said she was interested in fully funding the film. So then I hear nothing from her for days and days later and then this other guy who is supposedly her “assistant” emails me and says they will pay to fly me to where they are for a meeting. Well I tell them, I was unable to fly because of health issues but I'd be fine for a zoom or Skype meeting and then after that, I hear nothi..

They build this light like a tank and is made to last. It does a lot of things right but as a soft light can it replace your other lights and be the only light you need?
